As co-founder and certified coach of Hooked Pickleball, Coach Gail specializes in introducing new players to pickleball and helping young athletes build a strong foundation through thoughtful, structured coaching. She leads Hooked Pickleball’s kids and teens programs, creating positive first experiences that build confidence, sound fundamentals, and a lifelong love for the game. Coach Gail is the creator of Pickleball Explorers, a one-of-a-kind story-driven pickleball adventure series that combines imaginative storytelling with age-appropriate skill development. She also leads Training Grounds, Hooked Pickleball’s progressive youth development program, as well as beginner clinics designed specifically for kids and teens. Drawing from her experience as a critically acclaimed children’s author, she designs lessons that are engaging, age-appropriate, and tailored to how children learn best, making the sport welcoming and enjoyable for players of all ages. Outside the court, Coach Gail also serves as a volunteer K9 search and rescue handler. That experience has further strengthened her patience, communication, and ability to teach with empathy. Together with her husband and coaching partner, Coach Marc, she is committed to growing pickleball in the Philippines by making quality coaching accessible, encouraging, and fun.
