Smart, fun pickleball coaching that raises your level and enjoyment of the game.
I enjoy the quickness, agility, and coordination that pickleball requires. It provides a great workout without ever feeling like a chore—and, most importantly, it is incredibly fun. I am particularly drawn to the mental side of the game: reading opponents, recognizing patterns, anticipating their next shot, and making smart decisions under pressure. At times, pickleball feels like a fast-paced chess match. Beyond the game itself, what stands out most is its welcoming community. I have met many wonderful people and formed great friendships, making my experience in the sport even more meaningful. My primary sport growing up was football, which I played from a young age through college. I also served as captain of the Ateneo UAAP football team. My years in football helped develop my coordination, footwork, discipline, and competitive mindset—all of which have carried over naturally into pickleball. I have always been athletically inclined and tend to adapt quickly to new sports. I was also a scuba diving instructor for several years, an experience that strengthened my ability to teach clearly, prioritize safety, and guide people with patience and confidence. I primarily play and coach at Ayala Alabang Country Club, where I am a member. I am also flexible and available to teach within the South area, and at the RESET Pickleball Center in Filinvest Alabang. Email: montybuhay@gmail.com
