My pickleball journey began the same way many players’ does — self-taught, no formal training, just a paddle and a genuine love for the game. Through hours of practice and trial and error, I worked through everything beginners struggle with: awkward grips, mistimed dinks, and figuring out that confusing kitchen line. Wanting to turn that hands-on experience into real coaching skill, I went on to earn my RPO certification. Now I combine that structured training with the practical understanding only a self-taught player has — knowing firsthand what actually trips up beginners and how to fix it. My lessons focus on the fundamentals: grip and paddle control, dinking, the third-shot drop, court positioning, and core strategy — all taught in a patient, encouraging, judgment-free way. I believe every player starts somewhere, and there’s no wrong pace for learning. 1% better every day!
